IMS Academy follows the international standard ‘Common European Framework (CEFR)’ and classifies the students into 11 levels depending on the result of English Proficiency Test. Students’ progress is assessed by different methods such as teacher’s assessment, monthly diagnostic test, homework performance and attendance rate.

Assessment Components Assessment Details
Placement Test Every Monday (9:00 – 12:00) Five parts (Grammar, Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking)
Daily Test Time: 19:00 – 21:00 Vocabulary Test: Essential Vocab, IELTS/TOEIC Vocab Mock Test (IELTS/TOEIC)
Weekly Test Quiz over lecture material Mock Test (IELTS/TOEIC)
Progress Test Last Friday of each month, for all students Five parts (Grammar, Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking)
Attendance Report Assessing attendance rate, if less than 90%, unable to receive certificate of completion Counted absent if not present for more than 10 minutes (for group lesson, counted absent if late at all)
Teacher’s Assessment Report For Junior Program students Teacher’s Assessment Report by guardian teacher (class behavior, homework performance, etc.)
