Today, I'm going to write about using ATM in Cebu.
Some students bring a large amount of dollars when they come to Cebu,
but I didn't feel safe carrying around too much money with me, so I just brought debit card with international cash withdrawal service.
It does charge withdrawal fee every time I use ATM, so if you think that's a waste of money, you should look for other methods.
I used BPI Bank ATM because it was located right in front of the academy building.
In case of BPI, it charges you about 5 dollars each time you withdraw cash from the machine.
Withdrawal fee is fixed no matter how much cash you choose to withdraw, so I always withdrew 10,000 PHP.
10,000 pesos is quite large amount of money, so I recommend to either keep them at the main office or in your personal bag with a padlock.
I am attaching pictures below so that you can get the idea.
1. Insert the debit/cash card.
2. Select English option.
3. Decide how much you'd like to withdraw.
4. Push Yes/No for the printed receipt.
5. Put in the correct PIN number.
6. Select Current.
7. Confirmation of 250 pesos withdrawal fee.
